The results of our survey are in...
The number one factor to consider when planning a fundraiser appears to be price, or rather 'value'. Second to price, entertainment, appears to influence people most when deciding to attend a particular event. Food quality comes in last, although that always seems to be the one thing people complain about most, following an event. Go figure.
When asked, which type of event guests would be most interested in attending, we found an overwhelming response to our "Dine Around Town" option, so look for that to be coming soon. The other top selections were Martinis and Imax and Rooftop/Poolside Martinis.
In terms of ticket prices, we noticed that people are willing to pay more for an event that is most interesting to them. This seems like common sense, but is important to note. If you are planning a fundraiser, try to solicit feedback on your event ideas first before putting it out there. And be open to changing or molding your idea based on that feedback to create something that interests the masses. If you can find a winning concept, you will be able to sell more tickets at higher prices.
Thanks to all who participated in our survey. We have shared these results with our nonprofit clients and are excited about the fundraising possibilities this creates.
